This notice explains how we collect and use personal data when you visit this website or contact us through it. It applies to the Standard Bearer website at standardbearer.co.uk.
Who we are
Standard Bearer is a trading name of RCM Technology Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 16168260), with its registered office at The Cedars, Main Street, Tansor, Peterborough, England, PE8 5HS. RCM Technology Limited is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

What we collect
We only collect what we need:
- Information you give us — when you complete the enquiry form, we collect your name, firm, work email, phone number (if provided), your area of interest and approximate volumes, and anything you write in the message field.
- Technical information — like any website, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type, for security and to keep the site running.
How and why we use it
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, arrange a walkthrough or demonstration, and carry on the related correspondence. We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and, where relevant, on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing without your consent, and we never sell your data.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the site, acting on our instructions:
- Formspree processes the enquiry form and delivers submissions to us.
- Cloudflare hosts and protects the website.
These providers may process data on servers outside the UK. Where that happens, it is covered by appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent) so your data remains protected. We may also disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us, after which we delete them. Technical logs are retained for a short period by our providers for security purposes.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability, and where we rely on consent you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@standardbearer.co.uk.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to retrieve them; Google may log that request. If we add analytics or other tracking in future, we will update this notice first.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
